The AirDog II-4G A6SABC488 DF-165-4G Air/Fuel Separation System for your 2011-2014 Ford 6.7L Powerstroke is the next generation in the fuel delivery system, resulting in a long lasting, efficient and quiet lift pump. The compact AirDog II-4G provides the most effective technology designed specifically for diesel pickups to remove water, particulates, vapor and entrained air from diesel fuel, all while increasing power and performance.
The new design of the patented AirDog II-4G features many innovative improvements for increased pump performance, less noise and less maintenance. The AirDog II-4G utilizes an intermediate pump shaft that moves the electric motor away from the fuel. This eliminates any potential for “wet motors” due to a damaged or leaking seal. The motor’s self-aligning capability requires less maintenance and increases the systems endurance, resulting in a longer pump life. The low amperage motor also provides longer drivability and contributes to a significant reduction in noise.

The new AirDog® II Demand Flow Fuel Preporator®
This new model Fuel Preporator® improves on the original by offering demand flow, so that the unit only draws as much fuel from the tank – through the tank module – as is required by the engine, and then returns only air and a dribble of fuel to the tank. What does this mean? Connecting to the tank module means there is no need to drill holes in the fuel tank to install an aftermarket fuel draw straw, so installation with the included fittings is QUICK and EASY. The AirDog II also features either a preset or adjustable stainless steel pressure regulator. As always, all AirDog® II units come complete with fittings, fuel lines, mounting brackets, and full-color installation manual specific to each model truck.

Your High Performance diesel engine demands higher fuel flows. Yet higher fuel flows increase the vacuum at the fuel pump and agitation in the fuel tank. These factors generate additional air/vapor in the fuel system preventing your engine form producing maximum power and efficiency. Additionally, air/vapor can cause galling and pitting of the injector barrel/plunger assembly and also tip erosion.
The AirDog eliminates the air in the fuel that robs your engine of consistently greater performance and can also cause permanent damage to your injectors. The AirDog also provides the fuel pressures and flows your diesel engine needs to produce maximum power, any time, every time!
The AirDog®II, designed to operate at flows and pressures beyond the maximum requirements of the engine, receives fuel under vacuum from the fuel tank containing entrained air/vapor, particulate contaminates and unknown quantities of water. The fuel passes through the water separator which removes the large particulate contaminates that could damage or jam The gerotor fuel pump. The fuel, with only entrained air/vapor and tiny particulate contaminates remaining enters the fuel pump.
The fuel, under positive pressure flow, enters the fuel filter. As the fuel passes through the filter media and the remaining particulate contaminates are caught and contained, the entrained air/vapor is also separated. Through the POSITIVE FUEL AIR SEPARATION FEATURES of the PATENTED FUEL PREPORATOR® the separated air/vapor is discharged from the filter and back to the fuel tank through the Primary Air/Vapor Discharge Port.
The fuel passing through the filter media, free of contaminates & power robbing air/vapor and at pressures and flows always able to meet the needs of the engine, exits the fuel filter through two passageways. First, the fuel for the engine, passes into the fuel pickup tube and on to the engine. Then. the excess fuel not needed by the engine recycles internally through the pressure regulator back to the water separator.
